Using non-linear diffusion and motion information for video segmentation

چکیده
In this paper, we propose a technique for video segmentation using non-linear diffusion, incorporating watershed transform, colour similarity merging and motion estimation. The current frame t to be segmented is spatially partition into homogenous regions based on watershed transform with colour similarity merging in the CIELUV colour space. A future frame t + x, is then used as reference to establish non-stationary regions within the current frame. These regions are classified as foreground objects, or as regions of interest.

Video segmentation using stabilized inverse diffusion
A video segmentation scheme using stabilized inverse diffusion equations is proposed. The scheme is based on the non-linear scale-space analysis of video lattice. Non-linear diffusion and especially Stabilized inverse diffusion is a very robust method for image segmentation. In this paper the two-dimensional diffusion process has been extended to three dimensions. The segmentation scheme is bas...
متن کاملTraffic Scene Analysis using Hierarchical Sparse Topical Coding
Analyzing motion patterns in traffic videos can be exploited directly to generate high-level descriptions of the video contents. Such descriptions may further be employed in different traffic applications such as traffic phase detection and abnormal event detection. One of the most recent and successful unsupervised methods for complex traffic scene analysis is based on topic models. In this pa...
متن کاملAn Improved Motion Vector Estimation Approach for Video Error Concealment Based on the Video Scene Analysis
In order to enhance the accuracy of the motion vector (MV) estimation and also reduce the error propagation issue during the estimation, in this paper, a new adaptive error concealment (EC) approach is proposed based on the information extracted from the video scene. In this regard, the motion information of the video scene around the degraded MB is first analyzed to estimate the motion type of...
متن کاملHigh Precision Object Segmentation and Tracking for use in Super Resolution Video Reconstruction
Super resolution image reconstruction allows for the enhancement of images in a video sequence that is superior to the original pixel resolution of the imager. Difficulty arises when there are foreground objects that move differently than the background. A common example of this is a car in motion in a video. Given the common occurrence of such situations, super resolution reconstruction become...
